In this tutorial I will show you how to add images to your WordPress sidebar without using any code. It’s actually really simple, and super convenient. So lets get started.
1). In your wp-admin go to Plugins > Add New.
2). In the search box, type Image Widget and hit enter.
3). The Image Widget plugin should be the first plugin to appear. After you locate the plugin, click on Install Now.
4). Once you have installed the Image Widget plugin, be sure to activate it.
5). Now, head over to your widgets area by going to Appearance > Widgets in your wp-admin.
6). In the Available Widgets area, click on the Image Widget box and select the location where you want to place your image. You can also drag the widget over to your desired location (such as the “primary sidebar”).
7). Once the widget is added to your sidebar (or wherever you placed it), expand the Image Widget and click on Select an Image. Now go ahead and upload your image.
8). Once your image is uploaded, you will have a few options for how you want your image to display.
Title: The title of your image.
Alternate Text: The alt text for your image.
Caption: The caption for your image.
Link: If you want your image to link to a specific post or page, place the URL here.
9). Select your desired settings, and save the widget.
There you have it, you have now added an image to your sidebar without using any code at all.
You can use the image widget whenever you want to add a new image to your sidebar. Just drag a new image widget over, and customize it to your preferences.
