How to Add A Pinterest Widget to your Blog

Updated April 12, 2021
I earn commissions for purchases made through links in this post.

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to share your pins with your readers by adding a Pinterest plugin to your blog.

Adding a Pinterest widget displaying your latest pins to your sidebar not only gives your readers an idea of your style, personality, and interests, but it's also a great way to gain followers for your Pinterest account!

There are a few ways to add a Pinterest widget to your blog's sidebar.

One way is by using the Pinterest Widget Builder. You can choose to display a single pin, a specific board, or your latest pins by selecting the "Profile" option.

This method works for multiple blogging platforms.

The method I'm sharing with you in this tutorial involves the use of a plugin and will work for WordPress blogs only.

Recommended Resource: I used the MiloTree pop-up to increase my Pinterest profile to over 10,000 followers.

How to Add A Pinterest Plugin to Your Blog

1. To begin, you want to install the Pinterest RSS Widget plugin.

If you're not sure how to install plugins, in your wp-admin, go to "Plugins > Add New" and search for, install, and activate the Pinterest RSS Widget plugin.

2. In your wp-admin, go to "Appearance > Widgets" and place the Pinterest RSS Widget in your sidebar (or wherever you want the widget to appear).

Configure the widget to your desired settings and hit save. Here's a preview of the settings I used, along with the results:

If you want to display a specific board and the title has more than one word, you must separate each word with a hyphen (for example, my "Pretty Colors" board is written as "pretty-colors")
