If you have a gift for reading Tarot cards, you've probably considered starting your own Tarot reading business.
If this sounds about right, I have some good news for you. You can definitely make a part-time or even a full-time income by reading Tarot cards for your clients.
Start a Tarot Reading Business from Home
In this post, I'm sharing my best tips for starting your Tarot reading business from home. If you follow these tips, you'll be on the road to having your profitable Tarot or Oracle reading business.
Important Note: I won't be covering the legalities of starting your business; however, you'll definitely want to make sure you have a Terms and Conditions for your business. I highly recommend The Contract Shop for attorney-approved Terms and Conditions. This is one of the BEST ways to protect your business!
Learn to Read Your Tarot Cards
This goes without saying, but before you move forward with your business, make sure you're well versed with the meaning of all of the Tarot cards.
Practice reading Tarot cards for yourself, friends, and family. Become comfortable with your deck(s) and trusting your intuition.
There are so many free YouTube videos and blog posts out there to help you learn how to read Tarot cards.
My favorite book for learning to read Tarot cards is How to Read Tarot: A Modern Guide by Jessica Wiggan.
If you want to further enhance your knowledge and intuition, I recommend checking out The Psychic School. They have a great collection of courses that will help bring clarity and awareness to intuitives and energy healers.
Decide What You Want to Offer
Before you start your Tarot business, you have to get clear on what you want to offer. To start, I recommend having at least three readings to offer your clients.
Determine what types of readings you want to offer and the length of your different reading sessions.
For example, will you offer 30-minute readings, 60-minute readings, etc.? Furthermore, you can offer specific sessions such as astrology sessions, love and relationship sessions, and more.
Also decide how many cards you'll draw for your readings (for example 4-7 cards), and how many questions you will allow to be asked.
Additionally, decide if you will also be pulling Oracle cards for your readings.
Another thing to consider is if you'll offer prerecorded video readings, or will they only be live calls or live video readings?
Once you're become clear on your offerings, you can determine your pricing.

Determine Your Pricing
Now that you know what services you're offering to your clients, it's time to determine your pricing.
I recommend choosing a price point for each type of reading you offer.
Call out different prices and see how they resonate with you. As your business grows, you'll start to see if those prices are working well for you.
If you feel called to increase your prices, increase them. Or maybe you want to see if you can get more clients by lowering your prices.
You can do that too. Do whatever feels right for your business.
If you've used your intuition and you still don't know what to charge for your readings, you can use sites like Etsy or YouTube to see what other Tarot card readers are charging for their sessions.
Create Your Website
On to the fun part, creating your website! There are so many options available for you when choosing your platform.
I highly recommend creating your website on WordPress. Not the third-party WordPress.com, but the self-hosted version of WordPress.
Using WordPress gives you full control and creativity over your site.
To get started, you'll need to determine your domain name (this will be your business name) and purchase website hosting from Bluehost.
UPDATE: Bluehost has a great deal! If you purchase your hosting through Bluehost for just $3.95 a month, they'll give you a free domain name.
I recommend following my step-by-step tutorial for setting up your blog, installing your beautiful WordPress theme, and more.
I also have a free 7-day email course that teaches you how to increase your website traffic and earn money blogging. You can sign up below.
Choose Your Payment Platform
Once your website it set up, it's time to decide how you'll accept payments.
When it comes to accepting payments, I recommend keeping things as simple as possible.
If you want to accept payments on your website, here are the options I recommend:
SendOwl: An easy way for customers to quickly and easily order a Tarot reading session. Integrates with PayPal and Stripe.
Easy Appointments: Allows clients to book a Tarot reading appointment based on your availability. Integrates with PayPal and Woocommerce.
Etsy: You can also integrate your Etsy shop to your WordPress website. I recommend the Etsy Shop plugin to assist you with this. You can also avoid installing a plugin, and simply add your Etsy links to your website.
Consider Joining YouTube
YouTube is a great place for promoting your Tarot business. Not only can you make money with YouTube ads, but you can also direct your viewers to your website.
You can do videos for general "Pick a Card" readings, astrology readings, and more. Always include ways for viewers to book one-on-one readings in your video description.
Other Ways to Promote Your Business
I think YouTube is one of the best places to promote your business. Etsy is also a good option.
I like Etsy because it already has a built-in audience, making it easier to promote and sell your products. Etsy also offers paid ads to help you promote your sessions.
Additional places you can promote your Tarot card reading business are Instagram and Facebook groups.
Starting your Tarot reading business isn't as complicated as you may think.
Once you've gotten everything set up, you'll be able to earn money by sharing your unique gift with the world.
