How would you like to make $150+ extra every month?
Better yet, how would you like to earn this money with minimal effort doing things you already do?
Yes; it is possible. You can earn extra cash every month by grocery shopping, exercising, and visiting stores.
Below, I have listed several apps and websites that I use to earn extra cash and rewards.
But what exactly do you need to do with these sources to make money? That's what I'll be talking about today.

Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates)
Rakuten is a favorite for me. Any online shoppers out there? You can get cash back on your online purchases when you go through Rakuten first. If you are already going to be making a purchase, you might as well earn cash back on it!
Get a $10 gift card when you sign up with Rakuten today. Don’t worry – it’s free.
Achievement is becoming one of my very favorite mobile apps. It rewards you for taking steps throughout your day – which we all do!
Simply download the app, and then connect your fitness tracker to the app. Even if you don’t have a Fitbit or other fitness tracker you wear, you can connect other fitness apps to Achievement.
For example, if you use the MyFitnessPal app, which tracks your daily activity through your phone, you can connect it to Achievement and earn points for those steps.
Through my calculations, it seems that you earn 1 point for every 390-405 steps.
Once you reach 10,000 points, you are rewarded with $10! These points can be slow to add up if you don’t take a lot of steps each day, but regardless, you are still earning cash for an activity you already have to do.
Microsoft Rewards, previously Bing rewards, gives you points for searching the web through Bing. Yep – that’s right. You get rewarded for searching the web.
I don’t know a single person these days who isn’t on the internet for at least a few minutes each day. Use Bing to search on your computer and your mobile device to earn 250+ points each day.
Not to mention, you can also earn 1 point for every $1 you spend at Microsoft and Windows stores.
These points can be redeemed for awesome gift cards – specifically Amazon. Perfect for when you start your Christmas shopping! (I redeem my Amazon gift cards to feed my e-book obsession.)
The points can also be used as discounts on Microsoft or Windows products.
Receipt Pal is an excellent mobile app that gives you points for taking pictures of your receipts. All you have to do is snap a quick photo of your full receipt after making any purchase and load it to the app.
Once you submit four approved receipts, you get 100 points. Again, these points can be redeemed for gift cards to Amazon, Restaurants.com, Walmart, Regal, Best Buy, iTunes, Lowe’s, and Home Depot.
Pretty awesome right? My points tend to accumulate pretty quick with all the receipts I come up with, from the grocery store, gas station, and other stores. Link your email address to earn points for your e-receipts as well!
Field Agent is another mobile app that I love. Basically, you get paid cash to complete tasks at various stores in your area. Tasks include taking pictures of varying product displays, taking pictures of specific products, or completing surveys on your store experience. The tasks normally don’t take more than 5 minutes, and my account is credited with the cash within 24 hours.
Also, you will need a PayPal account when you cash out your earnings with Field Agent. I really cannot say enough good things about Field Agent. I have only completed eight jobs and have earned almost $25. It’s so simple!
If you like Field Agent, then Easy Shift will be right up your alley. Easy Shift is another mobile app that pays you to complete “shifts” at nearby businesses.
You might have to take pictures of product displays or check on the availability of a certain product. I have seen shifts that pay up to $12 for completing the task.
However, the only downside is that Easy Shift seems to be more limited on the areas where shifts are available. It is not guaranteed that shifts will be available in your specific city.
Another mobile app, Shopkick lets you earn “kicks” for walking in to certain stores, scanning item barcodes, and purchasing specific items.
Make sure to have your locations services on and pull up the Shopkick app when you walk into a store that gives rewards. (These stores will be noted in the app.) Then redeem kicks for gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, or other retailers.
Download the Shopkick app today and start earning kicks.
Panel is another mobile app that rewards you for keeping the app running in the background and answering questions based on stores or businesses that you have visited.
Panel is a slow earning app but every little bit adds up. The surveys are always fairly short and will take less than a minute of your time.
We all go grocery shopping. How would you like to get some extra savings on those grocery items you are buying?
Well, with iBotta you can! Download the iBotta mobile app to access rebates on tons of different products.
How it works: Select your grocery store and scroll through the products shown. If you see a product that you are going to buy, click “Unlock,” then watch a short ad video.
Once you buy the product, you will have to verify the purchase by taking a picture of your receipt or scanning the product barcode with your phone.
Once your purchase is verified, your iBotta account will be credited with the corresponding rebate. The amount of the rebate varies based on the products you buy, but it could be anywhere from $0.10 to $5 or more.
One of the best parts is that you can stack your discounts on the products you buy. For example, you might have a coupon for $.50 off frozen biscuits plus a $0.50 iBotta rebate. That means you are technically getting those frozen biscuits for $1 less.
Actually, iBotta has grown a lot since I first started using it. You can now get rebates for other products besides grocery items. Not to mention, you can get bonuses for redeeming multiple rebates.
If you don’t mind answering a few questions, iPoll will pay you to take surveys. Download the iPoll app for your phone or access it on your computer.
The survey payout can vary from $0.50 to $5 or more. Even if you just take a survey or two a day, this money can really add up over a month. Just keep in mind that every little bit helps.
Swagbucks is a fairly popular program now, and if you aren’t using it, you should really try it out.
Swagbucks gives you points – referred to as SB – for searching the web through Swagbucks, taking surveys, watching videos, and completing offers from various businesses.
You can also earn SB when you make purchases through certain online retailers.
Earning SB is fairly effortless and can add up quickly, especially if you commit to doing a survey or two a day. Cash in your SB for gift cards to any number of stores or simply a Visa gift card.
These are only a handful of opportunities that can help you make $150+ extra every month. I hope you're able to make extra money with these websites and apps.
