When January arrives, that means it’s a new year and time for a fresh start. It also means it’s time to start planning out your theme for your January bullet journal spreads.
This post is filled with January cover pages that will inspire you. I’ve also included a habit tracker that I thought would be fitting for this month.
Happy New Year Countdown
What better way to kick off the new year than with a countdown New Year’s cover page? Even though this design is for 2018, you can easily adjust the date to the current year. I love how celebratory this spread looks.
Mood and Habit Tracker
These mood and habit trackers would work well for the New Year because of the gold star theme. At least, that’s what comes to mind when I see it. Definitely, the perfect January spreads. You can draw your own stars or use stickers.
Terrarium Plants
This January cover includes plants growing in a terrarium. Some plants that you can add to your terrarium are the baby tears plant, air plants, and succulents. I love the simplicity of this cover page.
Bees and Honeycomb
This simple January cover page includes honeycomb and bees. I love the simple addition of washi tape to help add a little something extra to the design. If you love bees, you should definitely give this spread a try.
Black and Yellow Flowers
Here’s a simple cover page that anyone can do. It features simple hand-drawn flowers, crosses, and diamonds. Additionally, the title has a tape border that goes really well with the overall design. You could do a similar spread using your choice of colors.

I could be wrong, but this design looks like stencils were used to create the rose designs. Stencils are an excellent tool for adding designs to your bullet journal. Another thing I like about this spread is the handwriting. It’s really gorgeous.

This simplistic spread is perfect for anyone looking for something on the minimalist side. These types of spreads are especially popular for the New Year.

This isn’t a cover page but a small January calendar for your weekly planner. If your monthly theme will include stars, this is a good design to use as inspiration for your spread.

If you’re looking for a simple and creative calendar idea for your journal, I think you’ll love this one. The blue and gold color combination goes perfectly with the sky theme.

This spread is filled with fun winter doodles perfect for the month of January. There are warm clothes, ice skates, candles, and more.

This soft pink and purple cloud theme is so lovely. The flying airplane adds a special touch; however, you can create your cover page with or without the airplane.

I think that fireworks are so fitting for January spreads because it’s the new year. January is a time for celebration and making new years resolutions.

The colors used for this design go so well together. Plus, I love the addition of the gold stars. You could place star stickers on your page to give it a similar look.

Bring in the New Year with a themed cover page. I think that this cover page would look great as the first page in your bullet journal. Adjust your colors to your favorite color palette.

If you’re looking for a simple spread, try your hands at this one that features a pastel rainbow theme with diamonds and bubbles scattered throughout.

This cover page is similar to the one posted above, but the artist has added their own twist to the design. You can do the same by changing up your flowers or colors.
