To begin ch 65
Row 1: Place 1 hhdc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1 and turn. (63 sts)
Row 2: Place 1 hhdc in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn. (63 sts)

Row 5-6: Place 1 hhdc in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn. (63 sts)
Repeat Rows 3-6 until your blanket reaches 60” or your desired length. Don’t fasten off just yet. We will now add a border.
Add the Border
Round 1: With your yarn still attached, ch 1 and sc around the blanket. Whenever you reach a corner, place 3 sts in the corner. When you arrive back at the corner where you started, place 3 sts in that corner.
Note: It can be difficult to see your stitches when crocheting along the sides. Just do your best here. The stitch count is not important.
Round 2: Continue to sc around the entire blanket again, placing 3 stitches in each corner. When you reach the corner where you started, place 3 sts in the starting corner, sl st to the next st, fasten off and weave in the ends.
