Materials:
- 1 Lily Sugar ‘N Cream 120yds cotton yarn
- US size H 5.0 mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Size (approximate): 4.25”
Pattern Notes:
- We’ll be working in continuous rounds. Do not join at the end of your rounds.

Abbreviations (US):
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
hdc – half double crochet
hdc3lo – half double crochet in third loop only
hdc3lo inc – half double crochet in third loop only increase. You will place two “half double crochet third loop only” stitches in the same stitch.
sl st – slip stitch

Swirl Coasters Crochet Pattern
To begin Ch 2
Round 1: Place 8 hdc into 2nd chain from the hook. (8 sts)
Remember to place your stitch marker in the 1st stitch of each round. This will help you keep track of when you’re starting a new round.
Round 2: Place 2 hdc3lo sts in each stitch around. (16 sts)



Round 3: *Hdc3lo inc, hdc3lo in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. (24 sts)
Round 4: *Hdc3lo inc, hdc3lo in next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (32 sts)
Round 5: *Hdc3lo inc, hdc3lo in next 3 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (40 sts)
Round 6: *Hdc3lo inc, hdc3lo in next 4 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (48 sts)
Sl st in the 1st and 2nd sts (in the third loop only) of the next round, fasten off and weave in ends.
