This flower coaster pattern is simple to follow and great for using up leftover yarn. You can play around with colors to match your mood or the season, and each one works up in no time at all.

Materials:
- 2 Lily Sugar N’ Cream 120yds cotton yarn. Choose 1 color for center of flower (Color A) and 1 color for petals of flower (Color B).
- US size H 5.0 mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Size (approximate): 5”
Pattern Notes:
- For the first 3 rounds, we’ll be working in continuous rounds. I will let you know in the pattern when it’s time to join at the end of your rounds.
Abbreviations (US):
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (work 2 hdc stitches in the same stitch)

Easy Flower Crochet Coaster Pattern
To begin Ch 2 using your Color A
Round 1: Work 8 hdc into the 2nd chain from the hook. (8 sts)
Remember to place your stitch marker in the 1st stitch of each round. This will help you keep track of when you’re starting a new round.
Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (16 sts)
Round 3: *Inc, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to the 1st stitch of the next round, fasten off the yarn and weave in the tail. (24 sts)
Round 4: Using Color B, attach the yarn, ch 1 and work 1 sc in the same st. Work 1 sc in each st around. Sl st to the 1st st of the next round. (24 sts)
Note: At the beginning of rounds 5-7, the first stitch will go in the same stitch as the ch 1.
Round 5: Ch 1, *sc, 2 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to the 1st st of the next round. (36 sts)
Round 6: Ch 1, *sc, hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to the 1st st of the next round. (48 sts)
Round 7: Ch 1, *sc, hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st into the ch 1. Fasten off and weave in ends. (60 sts)
