Add a little fun to your table with the Cotton Candy coaster. This crochet pattern features a simple, textured square coaster made with cotton yarn. Cotton yarn means they’re absorbent, durable, and easy to wash; perfect for everyday use.

These coasters are perfect for adding a handmade touch to your space, or putting together for a cute handmade gift set.
Materials:
- 1 Lily Sugar ‘N Cream 100% cotton yarn
- US size G 4.0 mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker (optional)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Size (approximate): 4.5” x 4.5”
Pattern Notes:
- The ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
- You can use worsted weight acrylic yarn, but for more absorbent coasters, I recommend using cotton yarn.
Abbreviations (US):
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sc – single crochet
sc blo – single crochet back loop only
sc flo – single crochet front loop only

Cotton Candy Coaster Pattern
Row 1: Ch 19 and work 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1 and turn. (18 sts)
Row 2: *Work 1 sc blo in st, work 1 sc flo in next st.* Repeat from * to * across the row. Ch 1 and turn.
Repeat Row 2 until you have completed a total of 14 rows.
Add the Border
With your yarn still attached, ch 1 and sc around the coaster. Whenever you reach a corner, place 3 sts in the corner. When you arrive back at the corner where you started, place 3 sts in that corner. Fasten off and weave in ends.
