Materials:
- 2 Bernat Blanket #6 Super Bulky 220 Yards. I used the colors Sunsoaked and Vintage White. I prefer using Bernat Blanket yarn for this pillow because it gives the petals just the right amount of floppiness.
- US size L 8.0 mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Size (approximate): 17″
Pattern Notes:
- The chain 1 does not count as a stitch.
- For the first 12 rounds, we’ll be working in continuous rounds. I will let you know in the pattern when it’s time to join at the end of your rounds.
- When you see 2 dc in the pattern, it means you will work 2 dc in the same stitch.
- When you see 2 sc in the pattern, it means you will work 2 sc in the same stitch.
- The tutorial photos are not the actual size of the pillow and are for demonstration purposes.
Abbreviations (US):
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (work 2 stitches in the same stitch)

Flower Pillow Crochet Pattern
We’re going to start with the center of the flower. Make 2 of these.
To begin Ch 2 using your first color.
Round 1: Work 6 sc into the 2nd chain from the hook. (6 sts)
Remember to place your stitch marker in the 1st stitch of each round. This will help you keep track of when you’re starting a new round.
Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12 sts)
Round 3: *Inc, sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. (18 sts)
Round 4: *Inc, sc in next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (24 sts)
Round 5: *Inc, sc in next 3 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (30 sts)
Round 6: *Inc, sc in next 4 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (36 sts)
Round 7: *Inc, sc in next 5 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. (42 sts)
Round 8: *Inc, sc in next 6 sts* Repeat from * to * around. (48 sts)
Round 9: *Inc, sc in next 7 sts* Repeat from * to * around. (54 sts)
Round 10: *Inc, sc in next 8 sts* Repeat from * to * around. (60 sts)
Round 11: *Inc, sc in next 9 sts* Repeat from * to * around. (66 sts)
Round 12: *Inc, sc in next 10 sts* Repeat from * to * around. (72 sts)
Place the two pieces on top of each other with the wrong sides facing. We’re going to sc the pieces together using your second (petals) color.
Using your second color, attach the yarn to both pieces, ch 1 and work 1 sc in the same st. Work 1 sc in each st around. Begin stuffing your pillow after about 50 sts and continue stuffing as you go. Sl st to the 1st st of the next round. (72)
Make the Petals 🌼
Note 1: At the beginning of rounds 1-3, the first stitch will go in the stitch after the chain 1 (see image below).

Note 2: Take your time working on the petals. As they begin to overlap, I find it becomes easier to miss a stitch.
Round 1: Ch 1, *sc, 2 dc, 2 dc, sc.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to the 1st st of the next round. (108)
You may find it helpful to place a stitch marker in the 1st stitch of the round.

Round 2: Ch 1, *sc, hdc, 2 dc, 2 dc, hdc, sc.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to the 1st st of the next round. (144)

Round 3: Ch 1, *sl st, sc, sc, 2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc, sc, sc, sl st.* Repeat from * to * around. Sl st into the ch 1. Fasten off and weave in ends. (216)

Your crochet flower pillow is now complete! I hope you enjoy showcasing your new piece of decor.
