Easy Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

Easy Infinity Scarf

Materials:

  • Lion Brand Wool-Ease #4 medium-weight yarn. Color A: Arrowwood – 1 skein, Color B: Linen – 1 skein
  • US size I 5.5 mm crochet hook
  • Stitch markers (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Size (approximate): 5.5″ wide and 28″ long (with ends sewn together)

Gauge (4in x 4in): Approximately 15 sts and 18 rows

Size Adjustment: To adjust the size of your scarf simply add more chains (any number) until it’s the length you want and follow the pattern as written. Make sure you keep your yarn needs in mind when adjusting the size of your scarf.

Pattern Notes:

  • The chain 1 does not count as a stitch.
  • If you have trouble identifying the first or last stitch of the row, use stitch markers to help you keep track.

ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sc – single crochet
sc blo – single crochet back loop only

Easy Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

To begin ch 192

Row 1: Using Color A, place 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1 and turn. (191 sts) *This is the right side of the scarf.*

Rows 2-12: Place 1 sc blo in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.

When you have finished row 12 fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Row 13: Attach Color B, chain 1 and place 1 sc blo in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.

Rows 14-24: Place 1 sc blo in the 1st st and in each st across. Ch 1 and turn.

When you have finished row 24 fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Sew the Scarf

Fold the scarf in half so that the two short ends meet, and the right sides are facing.

Using the mattress stitch (or whatever stitch you prefer), sew downward halfway with the tail from Color A and sew downward halfway with the tail from Color B. Fasten off and weave in ends. Turn your scarf right side out.
