With simple stitches and a gorgeous self-striping effect, this pattern is great for beginners or anyone who loves a relaxing, no-fuss crochet project.
Materials:
- 1 Lion Brand Scarfie #5 Bulky yarn. I used the color Mushroom Blush
- US size K 6.5 mm crochet hook
- Stitch markers (optional)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Size (approximate) 7.5″ x 69″
Gauge (4in x 4in): Approximately 13 sts and 10 rows
Size Adjustment: To adjust the size of your scarf simply add more chains (any number) until it’s the width you want and follow the pattern as written. Make sure you keep your yarn needs in mind when adjusting the size of your scarf.

Pattern Notes:
- The chain 1 does not count as a stitch.
- If you have trouble identifying the first or last stitch of the row, use stitch markers to help you keep track.
Abbreviations (US):
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sc – single crochet
hdc blo – half double crochet back loop only: Yarn over and insert your hook into the back loop of the next stitch. Yarn over again and pull up a loop (you now have 3 loops on your hook). Yarn over once more and pull through all 3 loops.
