Rows 2-3: Place 1 hdc in 1st st and in each st across. Ch 2 and turn.

Row 4-5: Place 1 dc in 1st st and in each st across. Ch 2 and turn.

Rows 6-8: Place 1 hdc in 1st st and in each st across. Ch 2 and turn.

Repeat rows 4-8 until your blanket reaches 65″ or your desired length.

If you DO NOT want to add a border you can fasten off and weave in ends.

Add a Border

If you want to add a simple border to your blanket, keeping the yarn and hook attached, ch 1 and place 1 sc in the same st. Sc around the entire blanket, placing 1 sc in each stitch. Whenever you reach a corner, place 2 sc sts in the corner st. This helps round out the corners a bit. Once you’ve made your way around, sl st in top of the starting ch. Fasten off and weave in ends.
